A Snowy Norfolk Winter Wedding at Southwood Hall – Emma & Darren
Emma & Darren’s wedding was by far the coldest wedding I have photographed! But everyone agreed that the Norfolk blizzard that enveloped the day did nothing to hamper celebrations and gave the day a truly magical feel. We began the day at Emma’s Mum’s house in Brooke, Norfolk, cosied up in the warm drinking tea and wondering whether the snow was going to settle! Emily from Love Moi Makeup joined us, and as usual did a wonderful job with both Emma and her Mum’s makeup. They both looked stunning!
I headed over to Brooke church, just after Emma slipped into her gorgeous wedding dress by Victoria Jane from La Belle Angelle in Norwich. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in blue dresses from Coast. Their outfits were set of with delicate hair pieces from Glitzy Secrets.
The ceremony was lovely, Brooke church is beautiful, a typical Norfolk church filled with character. Snow was still falling when Emma and Darren came down the aisle and out to their awaiting retro blue VW Campervan. Tucked in under blankets and a glass of champagne in hand their made their way through the snowy Norfolk countryside to the impressive Southwood Hall.
A hearty meal of bangers and mash was exactly what was needed to warm our cockles and get us fuelled up for a night of celebrating! Speeches were emotional, the groom winning the prize for the most tears! But soon after everyone was on the dance floor once Emma and Darren had showed us how it was done with their first dance.
A wedding to remember! I had such a lovely time capturing Emma and Darren’s special day and I wish them all the happiness for their future together.
